The Lake Forest boys hockey team has come a long way in a short amount of time.

After enduring a difficult season a year ago, when they finished last in their league, the Scouts recently completed a turnaround under coach Steve Sarauer.

The worst-to-first story culminated Saturday, Feb. 23, with a shootout win over New Trier White in the IHSHL North Central Division championship game at West Meadows Ice Arena in Rolling Meadows.
