Something that became abundantly clear to me this week is the fact that the residents of Lake Forest have a deep love for the city that they live in.

About 15 months ago, heavy rains caused a bluff to fail. As a result, about 60 feet of Forest Park’s table land was washed out onto the North Beach Access Road, cutting off access to the beach and forcing the road to close.

Mayor George Pandaleon said the city was in a bit of a dilemma, since there wasn’t money in the budget to repair the area and get the road reopened.
