Seven priests who worked in parishes on the North Shore were named among four dozen clergy members in Illinois whose alleged sexual abuse prompted more than $80 million in settlements from the Archdiocese of Chicago.

Attorney Jeff Anderson revealed in a press conference Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Archdiocese of Chicago has paid out a total of $80,080,000 to 160 survivors of sexual abuse, rape and assault by 48 clergy members since 2000.
