To slow the spread of coronavirus, and following an executive order to suspend physical presence requirements for public bodies by Gov. JB Pritzker, Lake Forest School District 67 has announced that the board meeting scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, March 17, will be held virtually via a video conference call.

In a statement, D67 stated that because of the "unprecedented nature of this situation," the board will only address imperative matters.

"Action items wil be considered, and all Board Committee and Liaison Reports, will be deferred to a future meeting," the district stated.

Those wishing to make a public comment at the meeting are asked to contact the district's chief technology officer, Jordan Salus, at jsalus@lfschools.net, to learn how to call in for public comment.

The district said a video of the virtual meeting will be posted online at lakeforestschools.org. Officials anticipate the video will be uploaded no later than Wednesday, March 18. The link to the meeting will be sent to all who subscribe to the district's e-Newsletter.
